Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a dissociative disorder that is caused due to childhood abuse before the age of 9~.

DID was previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). However, we are not personalities and are instead alters.

DID and OSSD cause alters which in turn, forms a system.
